# Creating your account

> Sign up and start your AssetGullak trial.

## Sign up

Go to the [sign-up page](https://assetgullak.com/register) and fill in the form. Everything happens on one page — there's no multi-step wizard.

  <Step title="Your name and work email">
    First name, last name, and your **work email**. This becomes your login and your account's Owner — see [Roles & Permissions](/core-concepts/roles-and-permissions) for what that means.

  <Step title="Choose a password">
    Your password needs:

    * At least 8 characters
    * At least 1 uppercase letter
    * At least 1 number
    * At least 1 special character (`@ $ ! % * ? &`)

    <Note>
      If the form rejects your password without saying why, it's almost always one of the four rules above — commonly a missing special character or uppercase letter.
    </Note>

    Enter it twice to confirm.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Your company details">
    * **Company name** — what you'll see day-to-day, across your dashboard and reports.
    * **Legal name** — your company's official registered name, used for invoicing.

    These can be the same value if your company doesn't operate under a separate trade name.
  </Step>

  <Step title="GSTIN (optional)">
    If your company is GST-registered in India, add your GSTIN here. It's validated against the standard 15-character format (e.g. `22AAAAA0000A1Z5`) and can be added or corrected later from **Settings → Company Profile** if you skip it now.

  <Step title="Create account">
    That's it — no email confirmation step blocks you. You're signed in immediately and land on your dashboard.

## What happens next

Creating an account starts a **15-day free trial** automatically — no card required. You'll have access to core features (device inventory, real-time monitoring, asset tracking) for the full trial period; some features like scheduled reports and custom policy actions are available on paid plans. <Tip>
  You can confirm your email address later from **Settings → Company Profile**. It's not required to start using AssetGullak, but we'll ask for it before certain account-level actions later on.

## Signing in again later

Head to the [sign-in page](https://assetgullak.com/login) with your email and password. Forgot your password? Use **Forgot password?** on that page — you'll get a reset link by email.
